Some extra (unofficial) info I have on the Defcamp CTF Qualifiers
round for those interested:
It will last 24 hours, throughout Saturday (00:00 -> 23:59). There
will be 25 tasks arranged into 5 categories:
 * 5 tasks Crypto
 * 5 tasks Miscellaneous
 * 5 tasks Steganography
 * 5 tasks Reverse engineering
 * 5 tasks PWN: 3 tasks Web application exploit + 2 tasks Server-side exploit

Tasks in each category have 100p, 200p, 300p, 400p and 500p. Initially
you have access to all the 100p ones. When you solve one, you get
access to the next one only in that category. The first three teams to
solve a task get "breakthrough" points (+3p, +2p, +1p respectively).
In the final round only a maximum of 5 members are allowed to
participate from each of the top 5 teams. These 25 people will have
free access to the conference.

There is no guarantee on the correctness of the above information as
it is not official (yet).
