Salutare!

Vă încurajez sa participați în cadrul programului OPW, Linux Kernel.

Programul este similar GSoC (are același timeline, aceeași recompensă

fost 10 tipe (world wide).

Pot să vă spun că experiența pe care o aveți de la cursurile de la noi
din facultate este în general destul de mult peste cea a celorlalte
tipe care aplică.

Trebuie doar perseverență! :)

Mult succes!

Greetings,

The FOSS Outreach Program for Women (OPW) is now open for applications
for the May to August internship period. The application deadline is
March 19th.

https://opw.gnome.org
https://wiki.gnome.org/OutreachProgramForWomen

The Linux kernel community is participating in OPW again. We have
several projects to chose from:
 * Coccinelle
 * Read-copy-update (RCU)
 * Netfilter
 * Ath5K wireless drivers

If you are interested in applying to be a kernel intern, please read
more about these projects, and complete the first patch tutorial:

http://kernelnewbies.org/OPWIntro
http://kernelnewbies.org/OPWfirstpatch

Please note that the tutorial has a NEW SECTION at the end, which
describes how to respond to emails on the mailing list, and how to
version patches. If you have applied in the past or you've been working
through the tutorial already, please read those sections before you
submit your first patch.

You will need to get a patch accepted by our mentors by March 19th in
order to be eligible for a kernel internship. The more high-quality
patches you get accepted, the more likely it is you will be accepted.
Note that we look at patch quality, communication style, ability to
learn, and applicant background as well, so don't get discouraged if you
see people sending a lot of patches.

Mentors will be available via IRC or this mailing list to answer any
questions you have. If you ask a question on IRC, make sure to stay
logged into the channel, at least for a couple hours. Mentors may be in
different time zones than you, and may take some time to respond.

Good luck, and please spread the word about OPW!
