Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA) is a profitable, growing California-based developer of network performance analysis hardware and software for next generation converged networks. Ixia’s highly scalable solutions generate, capture, characterize and emulate network and application traffic, establishing definitive performance and conformance metrics of the network device or system under test.

Ixia encourages and sponsors research in the following fields:
• TCP/IP networking – stack optimization, protocol implementation
• Operating systems – kernel optimization, scalability improvements

This year, we offer internships and technical support to select students in the 3rd and 4th year for research projects in the above areas.

Requirements
•  Networking knowledge – TCP/IP
•  Linux programming – kernel, user-space
